A Leh Ladakh with Turtuk Village Package is the perfect choice for travelers looking to explore the iconic landscapes of Ladakh while experiencing one of its most fascinating cultural destinations. While Leh, Nubra Valley, and Pangong Lake are among the most visited attractions in the region, Turtuk Village offers a completely different perspective of Ladakh through its rich Balti heritage, unique traditions, and stunning mountain scenery.
Located near the India-Pakistan border, Turtuk is one of the northernmost villages in India and remains one of the most culturally distinctive places in Ladakh. The village became part of India after the 1971 war and has since attracted travelers interested in history, culture, and offbeat Himalayan experiences. Unlike many areas of Ladakh that reflect Tibetan Buddhist influences, Turtuk showcases Balti culture, language, architecture, and cuisine, making it a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a deeper understanding of the region.
Our Ladakh with Turtuk Village Package combines the best of Ladakh's natural beauty and cultural heritage. Travelers can witness snow-capped peaks, high-altitude passes, pristine rivers, desert landscapes, ancient monasteries, and traditional Himalayan villages during a single journey. Whether you are planning a family holiday, honeymoon, group tour, or adventure trip, Turtuk adds a unique and memorable experience to your Ladakh itinerary.

Turtuk is India's northernmost tourist-accessible village sitting on the banks of the Shyok River, just a few kilometres from the Line of Control with Pakistan.
Until 1971, Turtuk was part of Pakistani-administered Baltistan.
When Indian forces captured it on December 8, 1971, the village became Indian territory overnight.
Today Turtuk is known for its warm Balti people, ancient stone houses, apricot orchards, a centuries-old mosque, a small gompa, and breathtaking views of the Karakoram range.
It is called the Apricot Capital of India — every other tree in the village is an apricot tree.
Most travellers say Turtuk was the highlight of their entire Ladakh trip.
Pangong Lake sits at 14,000 feet and is 144 km long, with two-thirds of the lake stretching into China.
The water changes colour through the day — turquoise at dawn, deep blue by afternoon.
Two nights are included at the lakeside tent camp so you get a full sunrise and sunset at the lake.
An Inner Line Permit along with a valid government-issued photo ID is required to enter Nubra Valley and Turtuk Village.
A Protected Area Permit is required. This is arranged through the tour operator before departure.
Divya Yatra arranges all permits in advance as part of this package. You do not need to visit any government office. Just carry your original Aadhaar Card, Passport, or Voter ID throughout the trip.
Roads open, orchards in bloom, weather pleasant. Good time for photography and peaceful travel before peak season begins.
