Yamunotri Temple

Yamunotri History
Origin	Dedicated to Goddess Yamuna, daughter of Sun god Surya and twin sister of Yama (god of death). Bathing here is believed to cleanse sins and grant a peaceful death.
Temple	Built by Maharaja Pratap Shah of Tehri Garhwal in the 19th century. Destroyed by earthquakes twice and rebuilt. The sacred Divya Shila rock pillar is worshipped before entering.
Surya Kund	A hot spring near the temple where pilgrims cook rice and potatoes in cloth pouches — offered as prasad to the goddess.
The Trek
Route	Janki Chatti (2,650 m) → Yamunotri (3,293 m). About 6 km one way. Ascent takes 3–4 hrs, descent takes 2–3 hrs.
Alternatives	Ponies and palkis are available from Janki Chatti. No helicopter service is available on this route.
Best Time	Opens on Akshaya Tritiya (Apr–May) and closes after Diwali (Oct–Nov). May–June and Sept–Oct are considered the best months to visit.
Tip	Hanuman Chatti and Janki Chatti offer good accommodation options. The trail is shorter but steep in some sections.

Gangotri Temple

Gangotri History
Origin	Where the sacred Ganga descended to earth. King Bhagirath meditated here for centuries to bring Ganga down from heaven to liberate his ancestors' souls — she landed on Shiva's matted locks first to break her fall.
Temple	Built by Amar Singh Thapa, a Gorkha commander, in the early 18th century. Dedicated to Goddess Ganga. The Bhagirathi rock where Bhagirath meditated is visible near the temple.
Gangotri Glacier	The actual source of the Ganga is Gaumukh glacier, 19 km further — a separate trek requiring a permit from the Forest Dept.
Trek & Access
Route	Gangotri town (3,048 m) — temple is in the town itself, no major trek needed. Drive from Uttarkashi (100 km, ~4 hrs).
Gaumukh Trek	Gangotri → Gaumukh (3,892 m): 19 km one way, 2 days. Permit required. Passes Chirbasa and Bhojbasa camps.
Best Time	Opens on Akshaya Tritiya and closes after Diwali. May–June and Sept–Oct are ideal months. Gaumukh trek is best in May–June before heavy snowmelt.
Tip	Stay overnight in Gangotri town for early morning darshan. Weather changes quickly, so carry warm layers.

Kedarnath History
Origin	One of the 12 Jyotirlingas. After the Kurukshetra war, the Pandavas sought Shiva's blessings. Shiva hid as a bull in the Himalayas — when caught, he sank into the earth, leaving his hump at Kedarnath.
Panch Kedar	Shiva's five body parts emerged at five sacred sites — hump at Kedarnath, arms at Tungnath, face at Rudranath, navel at Madhyamaheshwar, and hair at Kalpeshwar.
Temple	Built by Adi Shankaracharya in the 8th century CE at an altitude of 3,583 m. In 2013, a massive boulder shielded the shrine from catastrophic floods — widely regarded as a miracle.
The Trek
Route	Gaurikund (1,982 m) → Kedarnath (3,583 m). About 16–18 km one way. Ascent takes 6–8 hrs, while descent takes 4–5 hrs.
Alternatives	Ponies and palanquins are available from Gaurikund. Helicopter services operate from Phata and Guptkashi — flight duration is approximately 8–10 minutes. Advance booking is recommended.
Best Time	Temple remains open from May to November. May–June and Sept–Oct are ideal months. Avoid July–August due to heavy monsoon and landslides.
Tip	Register biometric ID at Haridwar or Sonprayag. Carry warm clothes and acclimatize overnight at Gaurikund before the trek.

Origin	One of the 108 Divya Desams (Vishnu shrines). Legend says Lord Vishnu meditated here under a Badri (berry) tree while Goddess Lakshmi shielded him from harsh weather by transforming into the tree herself.
Temple	Adi Shankaracharya established the current temple in the 8th century at an altitude of 3,133 m on the banks of the Alaknanda River. The idol of Badrinarayan is made of black Shaligram stone.

On your Train / Flight / Bus, we'll pick you as per you arriving timings after putting your luggage in the vehicle we'll drive to Barkot check in at the hotel after reaching have you Dinner and stay overnight.

Early Morning Leave Barkot after Breakfast also if you want the hotel staff will pack it for you. Drive Towards Hanumanchatti then reach Jankichatti for start the Yamunotri trek which is at least (6-8 kms ) You can arrange the Horse and Doli for trekking (cost not included in the package )Do Darshan of Yamunotri Dham after that Return back to the previous Location - Barkot.

Depart you to the next location or the next staying point which is Uttarkashi, reach the hotel and in the evening go to visit Vishwanath Temple and then gear back for Dinner and stay .
