The Churdhar Trek Package from Chandigarh takes you to Churdhar Peak at 3,647 metres — the highest summit in the outer Himalayan range. Located in the Sirmaur district of Himachal Pradesh, Churdhar is a trekking and pilgrimage destination where the sacred Chureshwar Mahadev Temple stands at the summit. Nohradhar, just 130 km from Chandigarh, is the base camp. Divya Yatra provides a complete guided package covering transport, camping, meals, trek guide, and permits.
Churdhar is the highest peak reachable in a single weekend from Chandigarh without prior acclimatization.
The trail passes through a protected 56 sq. km forest sanctuary home to Himalayan black bear, musk deer, and the rare Monal pheasant. From the summit, trekkers see a 360-degree panoramic view of Kinner Kailash, Shrikhand Mahadev, Kedarnath, and Badrinath — a reward few weekend treks can match.

May to June and September to November are the best months. Skies are clear, temperatures are manageable, and the trail is fully accessible.
October and November offer snow-capped Himalayan views without severe winter conditions.
July and August bring heavy monsoon rain and slippery trails.
December to February sees heavy snowfall that can close upper sections entirely.
The Chureshwar Mahadev Temple is an ancient Shiva shrine near the Churdhar summit at approx. 3,600 metres. It is dedicated to Shirgul Maharaj, a revered deity of the Sirmour region. The name Churdhar itself means "one dressed in moonlight" — derived from this deity. A large Shiva statue near the peak adds to the spiritual atmosphere. Pilgrims from across Himachal Pradesh trek here annually, making Churdhar both an adventure and a pilgrimage.

Fitness required: Ability to walk 8–10 km on an incline without assistance
Preparation: Jog 3–4 km daily for 4–6 weeks before the trek.
Avoid alcohol and smoking during preparation — both reduce stamina significantly at altitude.

By Road: Nohradhar is 130 km from Chandigarh. Divya Yatra provides Tempo Traveller/SUV pickup from ISBT Sector 17 at 5:30 AM, reaching Nohradhar by 10 AM.
By Air: Chandigarh International Airport is the nearest airport, connected to all major Indian cities.
By Train: Kalka Railway Station is the nearest railhead; road to Nohradhar takes approx. 3 hours from Kalka.

Jio and Airtel work on the lower sections and at Nohradhar. Network is largely absent beyond Teesri and at the summit. Inform family before departing.
On a clear day — Kinner Kailash, Shrikhand Mahadev, Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch, Kedarnath, and Badrinath are all visible in a 360-degree panorama.
