Odisha is one of the few places in India where a single short trip covers a Char Dham temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, a golden-sand beach, a large lagoon with dolphins, and two-thousand-year-old rock-cut caves. This 3 Night 4 Day Odisha tour package from Bhubaneswar is planned to cover all of this at a comfortable pace, with an AC vehicle, a fixed route and a Panda arrangement at the Jagannath Temple so you spend your time on darshan, not on logistics.
The tour starts and ends at Bhubaneswar (airport or railway station) and covers Puri, Satapada (Chilika Lake), Konark and Bhubaneswar.

The Jagannath Rath Yatra (usually in June or July) is the largest festival in Puri. It is a unique experience, but expect heavy crowds, higher hotel rates and early booking. If you want a calm darshan, avoid festival dates.

Our driver meets you at Bhubaneswar airport or railway station and drives you to Puri, roughly 60 km and about 1.5 to 2 hours by road. After hotel check-in and a short rest, you go for darshan at the Shri Jagannath Temple, one of the four Char Dham pilgrimage sites. Our Panda arrangement helps you with the darshan process, so you are not left finding your way through the crowds alone. You will also visit the Gundicha Temple, the destination of the Rath Yatra chariots. The evening is free at Puri Beach. Overnight stay in Puri.
Good to know: Only Hindus are allowed inside the Jagannath Temple. Mobile phones, cameras, leather items and bags are not allowed inside, and lockers are available nearby. Dress modestly. Carry a small pouch and keep valuables at the hotel.
After breakfast, drive to Satapada, the point on Chilika Lake known for Irrawaddy dolphin sightings. Chilika is Asia's largest brackish-water lagoon and a major wintering ground for migratory birds. Spend the morning on the lake by boat. Dolphin sightings are common but cannot be guaranteed, and the best chances are in the morning hours.
On the way back, stop at the Ramachandi Temple on the scenic Puri–Konark Marine Drive and at Chandrabhaga Beach, a quiet beach known for its sunrise views and for being close to Konark. Then visit the Konark Sun Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site built in the 13th century as a giant stone chariot of the Sun God, with intricately carved wheels, horses and walls. In the evening, if the light and sound show is running on your travel date, you can attend it. Then return to Puri for the night.
Good to know: This is the longest day of the tour, so we start early. The Chilika boat ride is paid separately on the spot, and rates depend on boat type and duration. Wear sunscreen, a cap and comfortable footwear.
After breakfast, check out and drive to Bhubaneswar, the Temple City of India. On the way, visit Dhauli, where the Peace Pagoda (Shanti Stupa) stands near the hill where Emperor Ashoka's rock edicts are carved. In Bhubaneswar, visit the 108 Shivling Temples, the grand Lingaraj Temple (access for non-Hindus is limited to the viewing platform), Rajarani Temple, Mukteshwar Temple and Parshurameshwar Temple, all of which show the development of Kalinga-style temple architecture. Check in at your Bhubaneswar hotel. Overnight stay in Bhubaneswar.
After breakfast and check-out, visit the Khandagiri and Udayagiri Caves, some of the oldest rock-cut caves in eastern India, linked to Jain and Buddhist history. Then visit the Odisha Tribal Museum and Nandankanan Zoo (both closed on Mondays), depending on your flight or train timings. We drop you at Bhubaneswar airport or railway station.
Note: If your departure is in the morning or early afternoon, we can shorten the last day. Share your flight or train timings when booking.
